Dylan Turner by Eleanor Page

In a new series of blogs where you write a blog about your favourite performer. The next of these blogs comes from Eleanor who writes about her favourite performer Dylan Turner.

When did you first discover your performer?
October ‘11

Have you seen them perform live if so in what shows?
Yes I have.
I have seen Dylan perform in: Rock of Ages, Chariots of Fire, Tailor Made Man, Twelfth Night and performing with Westcoast.

How would you describe them to your fellow theatre fans?
It’s very hard to do justice to who Dylan is as a person but I would describe him as, a very down to earth person, who is always thankful, extremely talented, and a joy to see/ talk to.

Favourite performance?
I’d have to say my favourite performance is Joey Primo in Rock of Ages, as he was my favourite character in the show and will always have a special place in my heart, being the first character I saw Dylan perform as.

Favourite song you've heard them perform?
Without a doubt my favourite song would have to be Play That Game from A Tailor Made Man. It was such a beautiful song and Dylan performed it with such passion and strength.

Have you met them?
I’ve been lucky enough to meet Dylan many times at all of his shows, I love going to support him and speaking to him after for a catch up.

What show would you like to see them in?
In terms of a musical I would love to see Dylan perform as Bob Gaudio in Jersey Boys.
I would especially love to see Dylan perform in another work of Shakespeare would be amazing as he is such a great classic actor.

As I've said, other than these questions feel free to just freestyle write about your performer.
Dylan is simply a remarkably talented man, who is incredibly generous with his time, and so lovely to his fans. I have so many amazing memories linked to him, in just a few years of knowing him. He always gives 100% in his performance, even during times that he is not feeling his best. I’m very thankful to have been introduced to him and to have seen him in some amazing pieces of theatre.

I cannot recommend seeing him enough, and please go on Twitter and follow him at @dylanturner_
